Well, let me tell you. I have been blue collar since I was 13.  I am a Republican, 37 year old, happily married, father of three with a baby on the way. My wife Sarah, of 7 years, and I have 3 beautiful children- ages 2, 4, and 6. Sarah is currently 2 1/2 months pregnant. The due date is November 3rd…. election day!

We live in a small town in South Jersey called Leesburg. Most people ask me, “where”? It is in Maurice River Township, in Cumberland County. It is a quiet area with a wonderful school- Maurice River Elementary (pre-k -8). The school has received the “Blue Ribbon Award”, “Governor’s School of Excellence” award, and more recently the “Schools To Watch” recognition (one of 49 in the country and only 3 in NJ). After 8th grade, the students are sent to Millville high school. This is the first reason I decided to go into politics. Millville is allowed to hike the tuition to whatever they want to balance their budget, so in the next 3 years we will be paying more than double the cost of today’s tuition and our elementary school will be bankrupt and forced to close. The state says they are not forcing consolidation, but I sure don’t see it that way. We live in a very poor area, yet Millville gets Abbott funding. I do not believe in Abbott funding. Everyone in NJ is poor. We all need help.

The only things in life that are certain are death and taxes, but it seems NJ is taxing us to death. As a longtime N.J. Resident, I’ve worked hard most of my life only to watch the government spend my tax dollars and yours, improperly and unethically. Like you, I am tired of big government spending, corruption, and politicians rewarding friends. Any one that ever claims to cut spending in government always cuts necessities and not the waste. I will cut the waste not the necessities.

According to Chris Christie, we are a low income family. That just makes me more like you. I know how it feels to take care of a family of five on a budget. I know how to be creative in spending my money. Like most of you, we have never gone on a vacation. We figure, why not spend a couple hundred bucks, get a 10’ pool for the kids, and have fun all summer long!

I assure you that I am very creative and I am a problem solver. Whatever is thrown at me, I can take it! I will analyze it, and I will fix it. I promise you.

Unlike most politicians, I am not a politician. I have compassion and I care about the people- the people that work hard, the people that try to take care of each other, the people that just want to live their lives, the people that are fed up with government. I believe in the people, too. I know that if given the chance the American people can take care of themselves. They don’t need the government handouts. They need inspiration. They need hope and motivation. And… they need to know they are not alone. I am telling you now- you are not alone. I am the voice for the people. I am your friend. I am not the government- even if I get to work in the government. One person should not make all of the decisions all of the time. We can do this together.

I promise you, I will no longer sit by while the rights and freedoms of my family and yours are slowly, secretively taken away. Please stand up for what you believe in. Stand arm-in-arm with me to help fix the State of New Jersey together. I want to put fear in the hearts of all those career politicians and political appointees that someone like me, a hardworking, low-middle income, average person, would run for government. I hope others will be encouraged to do the same- at any level.
